12th July 2008 (late evening  / early hours)

Our planned visit to an Abandoned flat in Brentford, (Ealing) fell through. So a number of us went to my flat to discuss what to do. Ary got the ball rolling by practicing  her tarot-reading skills on  Niel and myself before leading us into an impromptu Séance. It proved to be an alarming experience for all of us.

Aimie, our guest (left) got more than she bargained for.  Was she giving us a grand performance that sent chills through our spines or did she indeed fall subject to a spiritual encounter?  She did however conclude that she would be up for joining  the team again on more supernatural investigations. Having nothing to gain from false performances, I remain convinced of the genuine experiences had by the team.

>Odd sensations felt in the circle. Tingling  limbs and temperature fluctuations.

>Aimie falls silent and becomes withdrawn. Then begins to feel horribly sick when asked if she was ok by Ary. She is taken outside for air before Ary steps in to call her back to her senses.

>A feeling of sadness immediately passes onto Ary which almost brings her to tears as she screams to the energy to leave her body, depositing it quite literally next to Joey.

>Joey unexpectedly is overcome with a heavy feeling of sadness which he is able to shake off on his own accord.

Saturday 19th July 2008.  

This weekend, we attempted a

séance at Niel’s. This time around using a familiar technique whereby we all placed our fingers on a glass. We saw some very interesting  results.

Present: Mark, Lemarc, Niel, Perdeep our  guest Leona and Joey.

We set up the Cameras to film what seemed to be a very responsive session. The glass certainly did respond which had Mark very excited.  However we did note that the moving glass seemed to avoid Lady Leona. She was the only female presence in the building, so was this somehow important?

Sliding a glass around a table surface is a tried and tested, but not necessarily proven method of communicating with the spirit world.

Everyone in the circle places a finger lightly on the glass.      

The idea is to allow spirits  to use the energy in the circle to manipulate the glass, while the folk in the circle relinquish deliberate control of their hands, allowing the their fingers to follow the motion of the glass in response to questions.

As part of Lemarc’s experiment to expose fakery our two open skeptics found that the glass was still sliding  around the table freely with only their two fingers left on the glass.

Both Perdeep and Lemarc remain skeptical, rationalizing and finding logical theories to understand the night’s events.

This Hallowe’en ‘08, the team did not set out to perform a séance but instead gathered for one nonetheless after a fancy dress party. Accompanying us again was Leona and two newbies, Tara & Tom.

t was a slow starter as we had been consuming alcohol and and our opening wasn’t as polished as it could have been. Neil initially took the reins, however we discovered that he needed some practice. After a shaky start our anticipation was rewarded by the movement of the glass.

Mark again demonstrated his passion and impatience for communicating with “the other side” and Ary discovered that she was perhaps communicating with spirits she already new were present in her building. Particularly noteworthy were the glances of disbelief in the eyes of our guests Tara and Tom as they experienced the movement of the glass beneath their fingers.

We believe we managed to communicate with several different energies, one of which took interest in responding to Mark and the other’s more responsive to Joey and Ary. The results of the Séance weren’t completely clear, however another interesting experience nonetheless!

Towards the end of the session, Ary and Joey noted something odd in the atmosphere. A negative presence (described by Ary as a black bird in the window) and we both agreed it was time to draw the session to as close as we had become restless and the team were tired.
